About Us
Community Health Network of Washington Today
Founded by community health centers, Community Health Network of Washington (CHNW) is a community health center-based delivery network. Our mission is to improve the health status of our communities through the provision of high-quality, affordable, community-based health care to underserved individuals and families.
Our community health centers form a statewide safety net for nearly 700,000 low-income people - including one-quarter of Washington’s uninsured population - who have typically experienced barriers to accessing care.
CHNW:
- manages the health care of more than 263,000 people through Community Health Plan of Washington;
- provides shared services and information technology solutions to community health centers; and
- serves as a collection and dissemination point for best practices for community health centers across the state.
By leveraging their combined resources and expertise through CHNW, Washington’s community health centers provide better care to their patients, invest back into the communities they serve, and are a more effective voice for health care access.
